Woog's World
It's funny now that the Dinner with Dad "project" is completed, I sometimes have to pinch myself to remind myself of the reasons I did it. Sometimes, pinching comes in the form of an email from a reader; other times, it comes in the form of a favorable (or unfavorable) review or feature. Most recently, it came from Dan Woog, in his column in the Westport News. After reading it, I promptly went out and cooked gnocchi and then black bean burritos. Tonight, Christine is making chili. Thanks for the pinch, Dan; and keep them coming.

I just finished reading your book this week and really enjoyed it. I would love to be able to access some of your successful recipies - especially the gnocchi and simple red pasta sauce. They sound like things my kids would eat also. i skipped through your blog and did not come across them already. Great work and thank you for the inspiration.
I enjoyed your book-it really reminded me how glad I am I chose to live in Baltimore and have a less hetic life than I would if I lived in another major city! I don't have kids but I can't imagine not sitting down to dinner (and making it from scratch!) every night with my husband.
Man! I've heard good things about your book here on your comment. Maybe I should consider it.....
I finished your book late last night and really enjoyed it. I am a stay at home mom and while that should leave hours open to me for preparing fantastic meals I struggle everyday, the reason........2 vegetarians, one fish lover who won't eat chicken and beef, and a 16 year old who wants beef everyday. Hmm, creates quite a dilemma. But I will succeed at this, maybe not today but I will.....soon, I hope =0)
I'm home now with my 4-month-old son and so far it's easy to please his palate (milk, milk and more milk!). I love cooking from scratch and trying new recipes. The book scared me though! I hope he doesn't wind up being a picky eater!
I agree with Lisa....you should post your recipes. I want the black bean burrito recipe, please!
